Description

BS DF Double Coupling is the most important and core type of connecting fastener in scaffolding systems, used for parallel connection of two steel pipes.
BS DF represents compliance with British standards and forging processes, ensuring the strength, durability, and safety of the product.
Double refers to the function of this fastener to connect two steel pipes on the same axis, making them feel like they are being "doubled" or "extended".

BS DF Double Coupling Product Specifications

Basic function:
Used to connect two scaffolding steel pipes end-to-end to increase the height of the uprights. When the length of a single steel pipe is insufficient, a Double Coupler must be used to reliably connect the upper and lower steel pipes.
Standard:
BS 1139 (British Standard)
Material:
Iron steel Q235 galvanized to against rusty
Pipe diameter:
48.3mm (BS standard) or
48.6mm (JIS standard)
Unit Weight:
Approximately 1kg
Structural features:
It usually consists of a solid casting/forging and a set of fastening bolts, which can firmly grip the end of the steel pipe from all sides.

BS DF Double Coupler Installation requirements

It is necessary to ensure that the ends of the two steel pipes are in close contact with the fasteners without any gaps.
The bolts must be tightened to the specified torque (such as 40 N ยท m or more).
In scaffolding poles, the joints of adjacent steel pipes should not be at the same height and should be staggered to distribute stress.
