Description
Industrial Stainless Steel Pipe Description
The industrial stainless steel welded pipe specified by ASTM A312 304, 304L, and 316L is designed for high-temperature and general corrosive service. These pipes are typically used in industries such as chemical processing, oil and gas, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and other manufacturing applications where resistance to corrosion and high temperatures is critical.
The 304 and 304L grades are austenitic stainless steels known for their excellent corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability. The 316L grade, on the other hand, contains molybdenum, which enhances its corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides and other aggressive chemicals.
