The rigid connection of flanges in long-distance unsupported pipelines (such as cross sea pipelines) and heavy-duty hanger areas can reduce the risk of stainless steel pipeline deflection and deformation. 

When matching flanged stainless pipe with API/ANSI standard equipment interfaces such as pumps or valves, flange specifications (such as ASME B16.5) ensure interchangeability.

When using stainless steel pipes to transport acidic solutions or flammable gases, the leakage rate of flange+wrapped gasket/RTJ seal is lower than the API 6A standard.
